Los Angeles Cosmetic Dentist: Porcelain Veneers & Smile Makeovers
Los Angeles has no shortage of cosmetic dentists. Patients who travel across the city to see a specific dentist are usually doing so because they're looking for something their local options haven't been able to provide: depth of training in a specific area, a particular approach to aesthetics, or a level of attention that doesn't fit the typical practice model. Most of the patients I see from across LA fall into that category. They've usually consulted elsewhere before they walk in.
Genesis is at 8797 Beverly Blvd, Suite 200, in West Hollywood, on the boundary with Beverly Hills. The location is genuinely central to the Westside. From Downtown the drive is around twenty-five minutes; from the Valley over the canyon roads, twenty to thirty; from coastal neighborhoods, fifteen to twenty. For most of LA, this is a manageable trip even for repeat appointments.

Why patients across LA travel for cosmetic dentistry
A general dentist down the street can handle routine care, and there's no reason to look further for that. Cosmetic and restorative work is a different category. The difference between a competent veneer case and an exceptional one isn't visible to the dentist placing it; it's visible to the patient living with the result, and to everyone who looks at them afterward. That gap is what brings patients across LA to specific practices, mine included.
What patients tend to be looking for, regardless of which neighborhood they're coming from, is a dentist whose training is deep in cosmetic work specifically, not just general dentistry with cosmetic services added on. They want someone who can articulate why a particular approach is right for their case rather than presenting a single option. And they want a result that looks like an improvement of their own smile rather than a replacement of it.
The most common requests from LA patients
Porcelain veneers are the most frequent reason patients come in from across LA. Most of these patients have specific concerns: wear, staining, proportional issues, or asymmetries that other practices have either dismissed or proposed addressing in ways that felt heavy-handed. Veneers done well are nearly invisible as work. That's the goal.
Smile makeovers come up when patients are addressing a fuller picture. These cases involve more planning, including digital previews of the result before any irreversible step is taken. The previewing process matters because it lets the patient see and refine the plan before committing to it.
For patients with more complex needs, including significant wear, structural damage, or functional issues alongside cosmetic concerns, full mouth reconstruction addresses the underlying dentistry and the aesthetics together. These cases take longer and require more careful planning, but for the right patient they produce results that hold up over decades.
The practice model and why it matters for cosmetic work
Genesis is a boutique practice by design. I see a limited number of patients and work directly with each one throughout the process. There's no associate handling part of the case. There's no production line.
For cosmetic dentistry specifically, that structure matters. The quality of a veneer case or a smile makeover comes from the cumulative effect of dozens of small decisions, made carefully, by the same person, throughout the treatment. Practices that operate at higher volume necessarily delegate parts of that work. The results show it.
Training and approach
I completed my DDS at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC in 2007 and have continued to pursue advanced training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry through programs including the Hürzeler/Zuhr Academy in Munich, which is among the more technically demanding CE programs in the field. Before opening Genesis, I was co-owner and founding partner of Apa Aesthetic Los Angeles. The standards I built there are the standards I carry here.
Getting Here from Across LA
The practice is centrally located on Beverly Boulevard in West Hollywood. From the Westside, Beverly or Santa Monica Boulevard east. From the Valley, Coldwater or Laurel Canyon south to Sunset, then east. From Downtown or the Eastside, the 101 to Highland or Beverly. From the South Bay, the 405 to the 10 east, then surface streets north. Parking is available in the building.
Your Smile Transformation Starts Here
If you've been considering cosmetic work and want to talk through it with someone who treats the consultation as the actual starting point of the case rather than a sales appointment, I'd welcome the conversation. The goal of a first visit is to give you a clear and honest understanding of what's possible, what's realistic, and what would actually serve you well.
